Fear hindered one’s desire
Perhaps once -- even your feet hath bound by
You had been stuck in one’s place
While facing into direction you wanted to reach
You couldn’t take another step forwards
Because of quandary
The fear has been detain yourself
But still your aplomb prevail
As where I am now
I am stuck and seem afraid
There’s a tie in my feet
That stops me to go further, and it was FEAR
Without hesitation, I will step away
I only know this time ,
Is I want to continue what I’ve started
Though I might amiss and fell from cord
And now fear is likely stray in my feet
As I hold tightly and stands firmly
As I look above and breath deeply
I know He is with me and my trust on Him will move me
I’ll reach my chosen arduous path safely. 💛 //words by me
Yesterday we tried to see the world’s largest #wisteria#plant that started growing 100 years ago and now encompasses enough landmass that two properties need to envelope the plant, propped up by steel beams. It grows a foot a day. But wasn’t fully blooming because of all the cold weather and rain. #wisteriafestival#sierramadre#california
As householders, often we are in a state of service. We tend to endlessly give our time and energy to others. Are you ready to finally nourish, cherish and love yourself in a relaxing and enriching environment? We invite you to come bathe yourself in an infused yoga sound bath!
Sound has the ability to retune your body, organs, and cells, and put you in a higher vibration. Restorative yoga uses long-held, supported resting poses to create the conditions for us to cultivate the skill of conscious relaxation and most importantly, to release unnecessary habitual tension in the body and mind. When you put these two healing modalities together, you will experience an awaking, and it can only be described as complete bliss!! I will offer health promoting aromas as I move you through a series of breath-centered meditative restorative poses. Throughout, my incredible healer friend Dynell, will immerse you in an ethereal sound bath with Tibetan sound bowls.
This experience is nourishing, healing and rejuvenating. Come experience the bliss of infused yoga and sound.
So we visited the largest blooming plant #wisteriavine in the world today. The family, whose property the vine is on, opens their house up one day a year to the public, so they can view it. Problem was that the vine had barely started to bloom 😅 (swipe left ⬅️ to see a part of the vine that started to), so that's the pose 🤷♀️ I decided to do to mark our #epicfail
Exploring Sturtevant Falls. About once a year or so, when the rain season ends in LA, Sturtevant Falls is a must see. Towering at 60 feet tall, legend has it that these falls were first discovered during the great hiking era. From 1890-1920’s was the great hiking era in Los Angeles history. It was literally all everyone did back then, when hundreds of new trails were created to access the San Gabriel mountains north of LA. Many of those trails are lost to time, covered by dirt once again. The houses on this hike were built during that era.
Hike details: The entire hike is a 1.7 mile hike starting from Chantry Flats. Adventure pass is required for parking. The earlier the better as parking fills up quick.
As the sun breaks through on the Mt. Wilson Trail. The historic trail leaves the city of Sierra Madre and climbs vertically heading towards the peak of Mt. Wilson. A difficult hike making it a full day outdoors. A round trip of 14 miles and 4000 feet of elevation gain to the peak of Mt. Wilson calls for one epic adventure.
