There is just something about sanded wood and the beauty of the grain and the knots in the wood that just makes me happy. This wood is white pine! I use a lot of white pine lumber. For special projects I will use different lumber. My favorite lumber is a toss up between maple, walnut and cedar. To all my followers, what is your favorite lumber? #ryobination#ryobinationrocks#ryobipowertools#diyer#carpentry#bookshelf#whitepine

My little inspector has confirmed that they’re ready to go!
Starting the weekend off right with this beautiful dining set. We were able to match this customer’s paint and stain color to her floors and existing whites in her home...another reason to shop small and order custom! Happy Friday everyone!☀️
I’m still learning @sketchup_official and I don’t like taking the laptop out in the garage until I have a good dust collection and air filtration...and honestly i like making my crazy chicken scratch plans that confuse people lol I’m a hands on kinda guy too, so I work better on something’s when I can see it in person. So here I am. Just Me, some @empirelevel squares/rulers, scrap cardboard a sheet of oak Plywood, and my @woodshop101podcast@revmarkmarker marker... triple checking my plans for door size and his&her barn door tracking.
How’s your spring clean going?

Headed to work with Daddy this morning! This girl is excited and I’m so thankful we have the freedom to do this on days when we just need a little extra time with our kids, but there’s still work to do. Happy Thursday!☀️
Oh, and Go Terriers!🏀😉
Incase you’re curious this is what you have to do to bourbon barrels when they dry out and start falling apart lol. It called “Swelling” or “rehydrating”. A lot of people/breweries use this method when they age beer in used barrels and they find leaks. Some heat water to 120 then soak the outside, fill it half full and roll it around, then let it soak.
Have you ever had an all day (by accident) shop day? Like you completely loose track of time, and get both a ton of stuff and nothing done at the same time? Happens to me all the time and today was no exception. My @stack_on is finally organized....but all the labels are wonky. I knocked out a quick scrap wood table sled and....I’m only square on the right? Milled up some Red Cedar and got to use my new @rzmask ...halfway through the cuts I remembered it was still in the package on the table🤦🏼♂️ oh and I spent 3 hours screwing up a weird idea for a sandpaper holder, but now that I I know what I did wrong on the prototypes I know how to actually get it done.
Check out my new #etsy page for this handmade wood candle holder, (link below). $12, comes with candle & decor (optional). Message for any details.

Putting a slight chamfer on the bottom of some table legs. This prevents any breakage when you drag the table across the floor. (This can also be done with a block plane. But cedar is not fun to plane....)
