Good morning! Ok so no snow, below freezing temperatures BUT! But☝🏼! There is some happy news. We have finally got our hands on my dream rug for the living room. A vintage 1950 handwoven Beni Ourain Moroccan Rug, the elusive GHOST! 🔹 Now for some mid week history: Each of these handwoven rugs are one of a kind, the “geometric design appear to be hand sketched giving it an incredibly artistic quality” The lines can be thick and bold or what they call ghostly or barely there. We saw a few of these beauties at Fallingwater each time we visited, Mr. Wright was a big fan of the rugs. We’ve been looking for years, I really love the ghosting on this particular one. It was worth the wait I think.. Closer look at the pattern in stories. Happy mid week from the Wood House!
Happy Australia Day! In the days when blackboards were high tech this probably would have been used by a teacher to draw an outline with the holes to mark the borders. Sorry Tasmania, you must have been too hard to include. Nice unusual vintage piece it measures 63cm x 50cm.
Pair of wave handle bedsides. These are a generous size so provide lots of storage at 60cm wide x 47cm deep x 69cm high. They match the dressing table posted a couple of days ago so it’s an opportunity to get a complete set.

Mid century sofa and 2 matching armchairs with amazing timber base. This is the Carlisle design, a Merlyn production by H F Fischer & Sons. The couch is 210cm long. Love the upholstery and although it has a couple of frayed spots I think they could be repaired by a clever upholsterer.
