This is a close up of a work in progress. I started this last night - 6x6 cradled would board. Scroll left to see how it started out. It was nice to have some alone time in my studio, listening to my music and just getting into a groove. My girls sometimes make fun of my tastes in music- I love folk music, Indigo Girls, The Wailing Jennings, Dan Zanes etc. Last night I wanted to feel closer to my late father so it was Judy Collins and Peter, Paul and Mary. I never apologize for the music I listen to- and my girls have broadened their interests because of it. They both love Simon and Garfunkel! What kind of music do you listen to? Happy Tuesday. 😊
Diving into homemade whipped body butter that smells good enough to it. This may as well be a pot belonging to Pooh there's so much raw honey in it from the bees at my favourite residential retreat destination @riboudin.retreats .Making my own products so I know exactly what is in them is something I want to be doing more of. If anyone has any tips or beauty products recipes they recommend i' d love to hear👇
#WIP Peonies.🌿 Before adding shading. I am working on a botanical series focusing in on one type of flower per wood slice! .
There are many varieties and types of peonies!
Herbaceous "Bush peonies" 1. lactiflora cultivars 2. The hybrids. This variety dies to the ground in winter then re-emerges once snow melts.
Tree peonies. These are larger flowers than other types of peonies.
Itoh peonies "intersectional" a cross between the herbaceous and the tree peony.
And amongst these and what I'm using for this piece are single peonies, coral charms, do tell, Sarah Bernhardt, Sweet Marjorie to name a few! ~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~
Most people are misguided by incorrect beliefs, unhappywith their lives and clueless about the direction they should take in life.
Does it make any sense to listen to them?
Focus on your goals like a laser beam and you will get what you want in life. Just keep moving forward and don't listen to those who have a distorted perception of the world.
Made this @peppermintmagazine and @inthefolds Peplum top on a Sunday afternoon. ☀️ I had this floral cotton in my stash for over a year as a small batch of offcuts from PJ pants that I made as a gift ages ago. It feels just perfect for this spring/summer season.
This was the first time I made (or even used) bias binding and the peplum gathering technique, so I’m actually pretty proud of the outcome😊
Ooooo I've gotta surprise coming for yal 9am tomorrow morning! *insert ridiculously cute pic of a puppy and string of Pearl's means that I mean super surprise buisness! 🌿
Cant wait to share with you all! 😍 📸 @myplantlifebalance

When I am home chilling on the couch, I usually pull my hair in a bun. It makes me feel more relaxed and comfortable until I realize I have to run to the grocery! Gaaaah! Who else can relate? 😂😂😂 That's when my Pretty in Pink Messy Bun comes in really handy! Ever-since I made one, I always make sure to have one in my car's front compartment so I could just jump in the car without worrying about my hair and tick my errand as done even on a lazy day! <3

Täytyy parsia pieni reikä isännän villapaidan kaula-aukossa. Siinä se menee samalla teetä maistellen. Kuunnellen Buddy Hollya. Hyvä päivä. ❤️ Mending a tiny hole on hubby’s pullover, sipping tea, listening to Buddy Holly. My kind of day. #formydailysanity_project
Releasing this pattern this week is rather special as I designed/made it when I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter... she's now 3 months old! I always make a baby blanket for friends when they have babies but I've noticed that toddlers love a little blankie that's all theirs so I figured a snuggly winter blanket pattern for toddlers was needed. This pattern will be live trough crochetcoach.com this Thursday 21st March - join now to grab the materials list! Link in bio.

Update: **Sold** Mountain Design Tumblers. They are rather wildly decorated considering our usual aesthetic, but I think the simple design looks quite lovely. It has a kind of traditional feel, while still being "us". We made a few of these to see how we liked them, so what do you think? I put the ones we made up in the Etsy shop, so they are up for grabs :) Right now we're currently firing the glaze kiln, which is full of things I can't wait to see! (Don't worry, I *will* wait, and until they are room temperature, I promise). Sven fired the kiln up at 5 this morning, and as it's completely manual, he is tethered to it all day and into the evening. It's going well though so far 🤞 We have a lot of things that we made with a brand new clay to us (Granite) so I'm very curious to see how they turn out...

MISTAKE OR LESSON day 17 #marchmeetthemaker2019 “Let’s make better mistakes tomorrow” when I was a student I had this quote pinned to my boad for years. I’m not so afraid of making mistakes, it’s all part of learning🎨 In this piece there are some mistakes, but I wonder if you would see them as mistakes?🤔🤔😀 the darkest parts in the middle are not as elegant in their shape, as I would like them to be, but maybe it’s only me☺️
Day 18 of @joannehawker’s #marchmeetthemaker is ‘mistake or lesson’. Everybody makes mistakes! I think the main ones I have made (and learned from) are allowing too many people to undervalue my work/skills, occasionally beginning to feel myself falling into the comparison trap and not acknowledging/celebrating my achievements (I’m still rubbish at this one). Even though I still feel like I have so far to go, sometimes I think I need to take a step back and remember when I used to dream of being where I am now.
