The canvas may be crooked but this is basically my final post to commemorate these pillows (which are all changing!!) and this art - which I’m going to paint over! Wouldn’t want to move on without documenting the current state, would I?!
Glenn will be home soon(ish) so yesterday he had me start making a list of things for us to knock out on the rv while he’s here. When we got off Skype I went around and started making notes of alllll of the little projects that got put on the back burner when we were rushing to get moved in by Christmas. •
I quickly started falling into the trap of our space not being good enough because we still haven’t ordered cabinet doors, those little end tables need marble contact paper, the under side of the upper cabinets is still the ugly brown and needs to be painted, as does the ceiling... and that’s just our bedroom! •
But then I remembered @arrowsandbow talking a while back about learning to embrace the space we are c u r r e n t l y in and to stop focusing only on the future... and it made me realize that even now, in all of the unfinished mess, I love our little bedroom!! •
It feels cozy and the texture in this space makes my heart so happy and hey, at least the clothes that are exposed are pretty ones I love haha!! So here’s to embracing your space today, no matter the state!! Which room of yours are you choosing to love right now??

I like traveling to places that make me feel small. It helps put things in perspective and makes my problems feel lighter. Portugal certainly ticks that box- not only with the massive, unending cliffs, vast water views and open countryside, but also with the incredible sense of history - centuries upon centuries smack you in the face around every beautiful corner. 🏰❣️

Question for you that has nothing to do with this picture. ❔
Do you prefer (a) group fitness classes, (b) working out solo at a gym, (c) working out at home, or (d) none of the above? ❔
For the past year we have going to a gym that didn't offer many glasses, so I have just been working out on my own. This past week, we joined the Y and I went to Barre class this morning for the first time since we moved from SC. It was one of my favorite things to do in SC, so I've really missed it. Today's class really reminded me how much I need a motivated group of people to push me to actually sweat.
Is your sofa comfy?? I rarely share pics of our sofa these days but the @myhousethismonth prompt today is 'Sofa So Good' so I thought I'd give him an outing on the 'gram! I love our Chesterfield but as comfy sofas go, they aren't the one. It's quite large for our room too (it's a sofa bed, we bought it for our old place with a bigger living room) and I've been thinking about selling it and getting a new one recently. Shall I, shan't I?
PART TWO: Here is the Photoshop rendering highlighting @schumacher1889 wallpaper that inspired my #moodboardmonday post!
This design only consultation package is a great way to work with a designer when you have a limited budget.
This rendering allows you to see how everything looks in your space before you purchase.

Making every space in our home cozy & intentional. Also, I feel like we are finally at a place where almost everything has a purpose. We've eliminated the clutter & noise, simplifying our closets and decor down to the essentials only. We've also tackled organizing the kitchen and I spent way too much time deciding on storage containers for food but we made it. Over 4 1/2 years of being in this home and it's pretty much perfect. Although I sometimes wish for a bigger home with more space I also question "why?". Thinking of what we value most and discussing it as a team has made us realize we don't need more. So our focus is to love the home we have, continue to work towards being mortgage free and allocate more funds towards retirement, Atli's education and travel because we don't want to work forever and we want to travel often!

Decisions Decisions!!! I am working on sourcing the brick veneer for my fireplace wall and honestly the hubby and I disagree. I want something more uniform in color that can be accomplished with a mortar wash and he wants a more traditional brick look. Help!! I will be posting the two completely different looks later today and look forward to the feedback. Meanwhile there are so many different ways to use brick in your space. Here is some brick eye candy for you. .

Chris made this beaut 👌🏼👌🏼I am one heckin’ proud wife.
