✨✨✨story time ✨✨✨
I decided to call this one "The Greater Glory" because of an amazing sermon I heard last night at @bethelchurchaustin (have I mentioned lately how much I love my church?!💕🙌🏽) ◾️
When I painted this a few months ago I felt like it had something to do with looking into the future. I haven't really posted much about it because I loved it so much I thought I'd end up keeping it. Then one day it was suddenly clear it was meant for someone else 🙌🏽
When I heard the phrase "The Greater Glory" I knew that's what this is a picture of- The journey to the greater Glory. In the sky there is an opening that is like our hearts dreaming of what's ahead. It's mysterious and full of light and wonder. ✨
◾️ The path below is the route God takes us on to get to (and prepare us for) the promise ahead. It's a little less glorious, still mysterious, and a little muddy 😂(amen?🙌🏽). 💕
Can you relate? Has your journey to your promises felt a little *too* muddy sometimes? Mine has. I've totally been tempted to throw in the towel, abandon ship and be "more realistic" 😂😂😂😂😂 ◾️
But God.... He is so faithful to remind me when I am forgetting that HE is my ultimate promise, and the fact that I GET to go on a journey with Him is an honor and not a burden (no matter how muddy it gets)! The fact that He has given me a hope and a future to hold in my heart is just mind blowing 🤯 He is SO good! ◾️
I love how He reveals my paintings to me at exactly the right time. I don't always know what I'm doing, but I shall continue. I'll keep listening, and keep obeying. 👩🏻🎨
AND 👉🏻 special announcement👈🏻 because I love this painting so much, it and a few select others will be available soon in my online print shop at the end of the month! I have been working hard to find the best way to get archival (fancy word for lasts a long time😉) fine art prints to those of you who have been asking. There will be fine art paper prints AND loose or stretched canvas prints!! ◾️
COMMENT below or DM me if there is one you know you want to see in the print shop. And be sure to join my mailing list for 10% off your first print order!

Doesn’t this beautiful bedroom by @studiomcgee make you smile? I love a crisp neutral bed with a pop of color and texture brought in through pillows 😊

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT: Canadian Museum of History (pt. 5/6)
Beyond the myriad of fixtures required, this type of project comes with its own set of challenges! One of them is using LED technology to recreate the warmth and subtlety of halogen, as LEDs are often too bright for the more subtle needs of a museum. .
