The confort zone - Where nothing grows ☠️
As another session of 21 days of courage ends I feel completely grateful for the support group we have! Yes, I’m the one leading but they each one of them has inspired me to go beyond my fears. Today, I went out from my confort zone BIG- Traveling solo on a low budget 😅
The confort zone is that area that feels familiar, we pray that doesn’t change and we do a little or no effort to keep it that way. The fear of uncertainty might stop us from getting out but unfortunately, nothing grows there 👀 That’s why we need to get out of it EVERYDAY.
•How do I feel? FREE! 🕊
•When did the fear start to fade? As soon as I saw the sunrise through the window in the plane. 😍
•What was the mayor obstacle? Buying the ticket. I opened and close the page at least 20 times before clicking buy. 🙈
*Bonus: I’m extremely scared of heights, yet I stopped in the middle of the highway to appreciate the view 😌 That’s the beauty of facing your fears. Once you do it for the first time, it gets addicting 😜
I’m not more special than you... I’m just a regular girl with a fucked up brain trying to rewire it 😂
PS: I’m loving Vancouver and the hostel vibes.✌🏻

Everyone...meet Keegan Decker!
840 days ago, I received a phone call asking if I would take placement of a little nine month old baby boy. Of course I said yes with excitement! After some preparations over the phone and what to expect upon arrival, I was ready. It wasn’t until the car was in motion that this all became so surreal. I began to pray, asking the Lord to prepare me for what I was walking into. Pulling up, taking a deep breath, and opening the door, I was led to this adorable baby. Sleeping in his carseat as if nothing was wrong, the caseworkers were updating on the information that they had. Yes I was listening, but I was in aww of this child, child of God, that I am now being interested with. We said farewell and was on our way. He opened his eyes when placing him in the car and placed the cutest smile on his face as his eyes rolled back to sleep. The first night he fulfilled the saying of “slept like a baby,’ as I did not. I stayed up all night watching him and praying over him, his future, and family. I remember this day as if it were yesterday. We have had a long road, but we looked for and found the beauty in the valleys and rejoiced on the mountains. Many say he is so lucky and blessed to have me in his life, when in reality, I am the one beyond blessed to call him my son. 840 days in foster care and today February 20, 2019 at the age of three, he is officially adopted and mine! Day one of a new chapter. I am so so grateful for all the love and support that my family and friends have provided. My parents and sister are above amazing, babysitting and helping out while I finished college and when I needed help. The Lord has blessed me beyond measure and I can’t wait to see the valleys and mountain tops to come! Everyone…meet my son Keegan Decker!! ***More photos to come!! We've been saving!***
