I love a layered look, especially for a dining room table. Mixing patterns and textures in my dining room keeps it fresh - but I always stay true to my favorite color combination: blue, green and white. I can help you create a look you love in your space, too! 💙 Every piece that I offer on my shop is something I would want in my own home. I edit, edit, edit anything I select before offering it to you to ensure it meets my own standards of beauty, quality and timelessness.
Whatever happens. Happens.⠀
~ or as Mr Baker says ‘stress less’ (it drives me nuts when he says this 😆)⠀
First our coffee machine stopped working, now our wine fridge 🙈 and then we received an email from our property manager today. There’s a leak at our rental 🙈🙈🙈⠀
At least we have a long weekend to look forward to 🙌🏼 and can’t wait to get home to see our finished glass pool fencing! ⠀
I'm knee deep in picking out tile for the fireplace at #CasaCostilla. And I can decide if I want to make a cool, modern statement like this picture or do something more unique and different. Sometimes being understated can be so beautiful. And sometimes creating a fun, bold statement is exciting and cool. I can't decide! What would you be looking for in a house?

Trading snow for sunshine ✨
We woke up Sunday to a snow and ice covered yard with temperatures in the single digits! Needless to say, we didn’t leave the house until we had to.
Chance works nights so he had to go into work Sunday night and didn’t get home until 7am Monday morning! It was oddly perfect timing though because I needed to leave the house at 7am so he basically came home, grabbed a coffee inside, and then we both got back in the car (which was still running to keep it warm) and he dropped me off at @enterprise so I could pick up my rental car and drive to JFK. •
Luckily I was on a nonstop flight so it was a smooth trip thanks to @americanair ✈️ And now I’m in Frisco where it’s about 50-60 degrees and sunny! I’m so happy that I don’t have to put on 500 layers lol
I’ll be pretty MIA because I’m here for work and have meetings most of the time, but i’ll do my best to keep posting and motivate y’all and being inspirational 😊✨ Love y’all!
My rug is here, my rug is here, the rug I designed for @annieselke IS HERE! This is a literal dream come true. Thank you all for your support - you made this possible! ❤️ I’m working on a few color schemes and design ideas to show how it works in a bunch of different ways, so be on the lookout for that soon. I designed my rug to be not only durable (it’s a reversible wool kilim) but also versatile. It pairs so nicely with both patterns and solids and I’m having a whole lot of fun scheming up different ways to use it!

Hey friends! I finally got around to doing a blog post on the update of our #havenhomereno 🤗 it’s been a crazy few weeks over here. Once the demo and small tasks are finished everything starts to happen pretty quickly, add moving on top of that, and it just leaves zero time for anything else! Hop on over to the blog and let me know what you think so far! Is the Reno coming together like you’d imagined? Is there something we haven’t done but you are hoping to see?! And I’m dying to know what projects you have lined up for the year! Anything big? Even small updates like a fresh coat of paint can make a room feel new again. Photo @workshopapd
Wrapping up a few last projects this week before my team + I head to @lasvegasmarket. A few things we always keep an eye out for while sourcing include:
- rugs (natural AND synthetic options!)
- accent chairs
- art work
Can’t wait to see you guys at #BestfofTheWest panel on Monday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Although we are currently in the throes of winter here, the vibrant colors in this lovely Antique Kurdish Malayer runner have me dreaming of spring!💐🌿

I want to sand this bedside table, paint it white and keep the drawer front natural wood, then I want to spray paint the light matte black. You know... in all my spare time 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ for now, an Edison bulb and removal of the shade for a quick facelift. 💡
Twice a week her and I head out to a local coffee shop and work on her homework packet. Changing up the the location and getting out of the house makes us both come alive. It’s take a bit more planning and intentionality but it’s well worth it. We were both in tears working on homework before but now it has become such an enjoyable part of our week! I have to remind myself that I’m the mama and i make the rules! If what we’ve “always done” isn’t working we’d be insane to continue to try and force it!
I posted on the blog today for the first time in over a month! Finally getting back into the swing of things. I shared the best of 2018, some of my favorite posts and yours. One of my favorite DIYs was this abstract artwork (painted on poster board!) that I added to our powder bath. Those acrylic frames were a DIY project too! The post is a good recap, especially if you’re newer to following along... the link in my profile will take you there.
I’ve been switching lots of things up in our living room lately, but the biggest difference has been cleaner air.
Cedar Fever in Austin is a serious thing + I’ve suffered from extreme allergies my entire life. When @molekuleair arrived at our doorstep I couldn’t believe how beautiful it was. The leather strap makes it super easy to carry to any room in the house.
We’ve been running the @molekuleair for about five days so far and I’m already breathing so much easier. I love the ability to approach allergies from a proactive stance instead of a reactionary one.

Dear sleep, I’m sorry we broke up this morning. I want you back! 💙💤 >> Nothing beats a white backdrop and some fun throw pillows! Check out all the different #throwpillows we use in every project via the link in bio🤗 ⠀

Does everyone find a good before & after as satisfying as I do? We completed this project a year & a half ago & I had forgotten how dramatic the change was 🤩 It took our client a good 48 hours to adjust to the fact that we would be moving the opening to her living room, but we knew it was going to be a game changer in making her kitchen more functional. Fun fact about this kitchen- we kept their existing cabinets (mixed in some matching new ones) & lacquered them. What’s your favorite part? I’m still in love with the counter to ceiling tile & custom walnut lights by @worleyslighting 👌🏻
Our letter board says it perfectly. Welcome to our perfect chaos. With 3 little boys (almost 4, 2 and 1 month) life sure does get crazy and honestly, it’s been really trying lately. The threenager attitude is real y’all. 🙄 Life with 3 littles will probably always be chaotic, but this Christmas season I want to make an effort to slow down and ENJOY the chaos. Let them play and make messes, snuggle up on the couch with hot chocolate for a movie night, drive around town and admire the Christmas lights, and just spend quality time with family. I’m gonna try not to get so caught up in the hustle and bustle and gift buying and craziness, but instead focus on the TRUE meaning of Christmas. Jesus. I pray that Kyle and I can be an example to our boys and teach them that the most important gift they will ever receive is Jesus. 💙
Lazy Sunday’s are good for the soul. Especially on cold snowy days.
I love how the white snow shines through the windows and brightens up the house. ❤️
Anyone else wake up to a lovely blanket of snow? ❄️
You guys, the sun is OUT and I am a happy lady! On another note, If any of you follow along in my stories, I rendered a little living room makeover recently and am so stoked with how it’s coming along! We are total print newbies and I gotta say I am so in love with these ones from @fornstudio ! Happy Friday everyone!
