#stationery#luxury#luxurylifestyle#lifestyleblogger#cardmaking#paper#instalife#birthday#celebration#thankyou#design#tasarım#inspiration#creativity#writing
You are your greatest asset;
Here are some ways to invest in yourself.
1. Set SMART goals:
If you don't know where you are going, you are going nowhere.
2. Learn to trust your gut instinct:
Are you always be overtaken by what others think or say? Value your own intuition; don’t ignore it.
3. Explore your creative side. There is a fountain of #creativity within most of us that may never have been tapped or used to its potential. Try to unearth and hone your creativity. Make time to develop your gifts and talents. When you spend time doing what you love, you are inspired, fulfilled and energised.
4. Read widely:
Acquire new knowledge by reading to build your #knowledge, #skills and #expertise in an area of your choice.
5. Develop yourself both personally and professionally. Attend carefully chosen learning events; use the opportunity to network with likeminded people and make friends.
6. Nurture your #mind and #body. This will give you more #energy, #knowledge, #ideas, #physical and #mental strength. Make a conscious effort to live a healthy lifestyle. Many diseases can be averted through a healthy #diet, #exercise and #sleep. Health is wealth.
7. Do something you've always wanted to do:
Do you have a bucket list of tings that you want to achieve, places to visit etc. Write down your top 20 and try to do one of them each month.
8. Just be:
Stop. Do nothing. Appreciate each moment. Rest. Relax. Sleep. Live a little.
When you invest in yourself, you can be your best self.
Share with us what you’ve done this January to invest in yourself.
God gives us grace for every season. Whatever situation, whatever sin or whatever battle we are in, God has giving us the grace to overcome. Trust in Him, He is always near and will never let you go. 🙏
By the year 2050 there will be more plastic floating in the oceans than fish. It is estimated that 1/3 of the worlds entire population, over 2.5 billion people, is dependent on fish as a main source of food. These people live off fish and they don't have a Sobey's around the corner or any alternatives. Without fish...what will they eat?
Microplastics, tiny pieces of polymers are ingested by aquatic animals and travel up the food chain. These filaments have no nutrients and unknowingly are filling the little bellies of animals that swim, those fish are eaten by bigger fish, caught and eaten by us.
I use to love watching Betta fish in the pet store that swam in tiny glasses near the cash register as a kid. The confinement upset me and imagined them being free in the ocean....Now the ocean is their confinement because they are surrounded by plastic.
The ring illustrated is what remains on a plastic bottle once the lid is removed. It's a safety mechanism that shows a bottle hasn't been opened. Those rings, if unbroken, can be nasty traps to sea turtles or any fish that is caught in them when they are small. As they develop and grow the ring remains and their bodies grow around it.
I've digitally altered the second illustration. I'm not sure what I like more... I might draw a second fish in that blank area facing the other but I'm not too sure yet. Definitely changing the shadow to something more simple.
Any feedback would be helpful! Thanks
Anyways, I had fun with a ballpoint pen to render the water - it's been a while!
First attempt painting realistic hydrangeas after 1 year and 5 months practicing with watercolours. Rarely use blue hues in my paintings but I kinda like it ☺️ #artbyzafikha .
