This year I will be pushing myself out of my comfort zone in a lot of ways. I’ve chosen to go back to school for one. I never finished my degree and finally feel ready to do it! It’s scary but also exciting! What sort of things have you done that terrified you, but that you were so glad you did?
Are you holding yourself back by always staying in your comfort zone?
I’ve been guilty of this in a lot of areas of my life.
Today I’m facing a fear and stepping out of my comfort zone big time.
I’m attending a toastmasters meeting which is a meeting to improve your public speaking and communication skills.
I’ve always had a fear of public speaking and it’s always held me back.
But if I want to achieve my goals I have to be willing to get out of my comfort zone and do the things I’m scared to do.
You’re not going to grow by staying comfortable.
Live life on your terms and face your fears.
#1 on the #52booksin52week commitment - "Trader Mind" - by Steve Ward ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"Trader Mind" is an amazing book for anyone looking to improve performance in any area of their lives, not just trading.
The information is based on extensive research and practical applications to the real world that really helps increase awareness and insight. Both of which help manage thoughts and emotions.
Developing the proper skills through these techniques can help a trader become more situationally aware and build patterns of effective trading behaviors.
Not just being aware of walking away mentality, but really... walk away. Walk away from the computer, the room, the office. Get away from the situation.
We all know losses will happen. However, it's the emotional and impulsive behavior that happens after the loss that gets traders in real trouble.
The reality is a trader cannot remove emotion from trading. Emotions are embedded into us as humans. We cannot ignore them or try to suppress them. After all, it's the emotions that can keep us out of trouble. It is the "gut feeling" a trader gets that can keep them from losing money.
The idea of this book is to give the trader the tools and techniques to become more situationally aware and build positive patterns. Patterns of good behaviors that will help traders overcome those inherent biases and ultimately improve their trading decisions.

The comfort zone is exactly that... comfortable.
I’ve never drawn these animals before and figuring out their facial expressions, their body shapes, my own style etc. has been a lot of fun!
Each one might have taken me awhile to figure out but if this is what happens outside of the comfort zone, I’m all in! I might have to play around with these sea creatures becoming a watercolor set!
This isn’t easy for a lot of us, myself included, but I’m going outside my #comfortzone! I am #RESILIENT! What about YOU?! Hashtag what YOU ARE - YOU CAN DO IT!

You’re already posting your favorite things on social media. That’s what we all do, right? Go somewhere, take a photo, post it. Share live stories when we’re out & about. Creating memories with our friends & sharing about the latest movie, or our favorite ice cream shop. Or 100s of other things. That’s what we do here.
My question to you is, why not get paid for it?
I have so many people tell me “I’m no salesperson” or “I can’t do what you do” when talking about joining me in this haircare business. But guess what? All I’m doing is sharing about products that I personally love, because I know they will change your hair for the better. And I know you’ll love them too.
And because I’m willing to share about products I love, I’m getting paid for it. You know, instead of doing it for free. When you share about the latest flick on Netflix, you’re not getting a dime.
My friend, this is a REAL business opportunity that is available to you — simply because you share about products you use and love. Like, you’ll be in business for yourself, making real money and stuff. Money that can pay for your groceries, or your car payment, or your mortgage. Or better yet, pay for your credit card debt.
So again, my question to you is - WHY NOT YOU?
I can go on and on about the perks, and the free products, and the compensation plan, but instead - I want to share that with those that are TRULY interested, ambitious and READY to join me on the next level. IS THAT YOU?
Comment below with READY and I’ll get you the info you need to decide whether you’ll go all in or not.
Trust me, a year from now you’ll wish you had started today.

I challenge you- today + EVERYDAY forward to step outside of your comfort zone!
What is it that scares you? That makes you uncomfortable, but you KNOW you should go for it anyways?
For me it’s GROUP WORKOUTS! As someone with chronic illness which sometimes leaves me fatigued/with random flares, I get NERVOUS! Add on exercise induced anaphylaxis I used to deal with daily + anxiety... yeah that’s a DOOZY 🙈 BUT I refused to become a victim to my circumstances!
How did I step out of my comfort zone? I took SMALL STEPS....
First was quarterly live workout events (like this one)
Then working out with a friend 2x per week
Then working out with my mom daily
Then Zumba once a week
Then Spin class + before I knew it... I LOVE working out with others!
Did it used to intimidate me before- YES! Those self limiting beliefs, of what will they think of me? What if I have to modify? What if I have to go my own pace? Those don’t matter anymore, as long as I SHOW UP!
Whatever you are afraid to do, whether it’s starting a new workout, trying a new food, going for that new job, just SHOW UP + grow as you step out of that comfort zone! What are you going to conquer next?! 🔥✨
Week 2, Day 3 my friends. Just challenged myself by adding on the bonus weighted step workout in addition to the one on the schedule.
Because weights are awesome. 💖🏋🏼♀️💖
I almost didn't do the extra workout. Started coming up with excuses in my head as "reasons" why I didn't really need to do it.
If I had listened to those excuses in my head and only did the scheduled session that would have been fine. But I knew better...so I did the extra workout.
And it was amazing! I proved to myself that I could do it! Overall, I did a lot better with the Transformer reps than I did last week! 😁👍🏻
What are you doing to challenge yourself? How are you pushing yourself beyond your comfort level so that you can grow and evolve?
GROEIKEUZES versus COMFORTKEUZES
Get comfortable being uncomfortable! #comfortzone#groeikeuzes#mindset#personaltrainer#middelburg#vlissingen#mindsetforgreatness#onlinecoaching#getcomfortablebeinguncomfortable#winners🏆 #gezondeten#gezondleven#fitdutchies#fitfam#fitfamnl

🌲 Adventure, Adventure, Adventure 🌲
🎩: Bear Cap

Have a big idea, but afraid to take the L-E-A-P? WATCH THIS VIDEO 👀
C O M F O R T Z O N E
Last night I had the opportunity to go to a women’s networking event for the industry I work in. If you know me than you are probably already shaking your head because that is not who I am. I am a friendly person, I am just not very social. I can be very shy and introverted in big groups where I don’t know anyone. I went because I am also a yes person 🤷🏼♀️ The whole way there I was telling myself YOU CAN DO THIS! I couldn’t do it. I got there and it seemed like everyone already knew each other and people were coming in twos so they at least had a friend or coworker with them...and there I was standing all by myself. By the time I had left I had given myself the worst anxiety, I felt like I was going to throw up. Then I thought of a recent trip to the park with the boys. Jacob had gone up to a group of boys and just stood there, didn’t say a word. They started to make fun of him and he walked away and I got down on my knees and explained to him that he can’t just walk up to people and stare at them. I told him you have to say hi my name is Jacob and ask if you can play with them. There I was on Bart thinking of how I was telling a 3 year old how to be social but I couldn’t even follow my own advice as a 31 year oId adult. I stood at this event by myself and drank 5 cups of water so I felt like I was doing something instead of standing there awkwardly. I told myself last night that I was not going to shy away from these event anymore because they made me feel uncomfortable. I want to be a the best version of myself. I want to be able to tell my kids that I did things that were out of my comfort zone and it taught me that it’s okay to try new things and meet new people. I want to be able to tell Jacob that it might be scary but the end reward is making new friends. He is already one step ahead of me...he actually approached them 😏 So here’s to spreading my wing a little and becoming better at socializing (without the liquid courage 😉)

They aren’t afraid to set high goals.
They aren’t afraid to face difficulty.
They do more than what’s expect of them.
Don’t underestimate yourself, go for that challenging goal, that have an amazing reward!

You can't just be talented: You have to be terribly smart and energetic and ruthless. You also have to become necessary to people, by working hard and well and bringing more than your bones and your skin to the project. Don't just show up. Transform the work, yourself, and everybody around you. Be needed. Be interesting. Be something no one else can be--and consistently.
So these two just witnessed me stepping way out of my comfort zone and they were nothing but loving and supportive #cheersquad🙌.
Transformation is scary and exciting at the same time because no progress or magic happens if we stay in our comfort zones. Level up. ⚡️⚡️⚡️

✍🏾 An intention I gave myself for 2019 has been comfort zones. More specifically, identifying things that scare me that I know without a doubt would help me grow if I pushed through them.
🌿 A big one is communication and reaching out to new people for the podcast & @wellnesscon development. It's definitely been interesting to pause, observe what I've been avoiding, actually zeroing in on it, and pushing myself to specifically DO THAT THING.
😷I feel like we all know 1 or 2 things that scare us but are also gateways for growth. I'm wishing you clarity on what those things are & encouragement to push through them💙✨

COMFORT // For all of the magic that happens when we're plunging (or even, tiptoeing) outside of our comfortzones, there has to be an ebb to that flow. The ebb is just as important and just as magical because it's where we restore and recuperate. The ebb is what allows the flow to be so powerful in the first place.
