Finally got to try Slab BBQ today (due to @markusmolinari rave reviews) and it was awesome! The ribs were huge and can’t say I’ve ever had such moist brisket before. The smokey bbq sauce was so good! Definitely recommend it but get there early or call at dinner time to make sure they haven’t run out of food. That keeps happening cuz they’re in such demand. And use Polis Assist to find free parking near the restaurant #losangeles#hollywood#foodie#Freeparking#bbq#bbqribs#findyourspot#savemoney#savetime
Accounting tip: Collect applicable taxes and pay them. The money you collect is not your money it is the states money. A bookkeeper can help you keep track of the taxes you collect and can help you manage your finances for payment. Not planning for taxes is the biggest mistake we make as business owners

Some say the reason is because they believe homeownership is essential the American dream as opposed to paying off debt. Do you agree?

This isn't an ad or anything, I genuinely just love the company and what it stands for and they've been the cheapest quotes at my last two houses. I've recommended them to all my friends and thought with this amazing promotion I might as well share a bit far and wider!
Today, I updated all of my expense trackers with my receipts. I failed with one envelope for this month's $10 cash envelope savings challenge, but I'm on track for the rest of my envelopes.
I have been using the cash envelope system for almost 6 years, and I can honestly say it has changed the way I budget and manage my money COMPLETELY.
There is a reason I incorporated the cash envelope system into my method - because it works and showed me signs of success.
Over the years, I have found ways to make the system easier. Today, I wanted to share some tips on how to use the cash envelope method successfully in your life.
1. Don't just stuff them with random amounts. In order for your envelopes to work, you need to make sure that your cash limits align with your real life spending. It's not about how much you WANT to spend, it's all about what you're REALLY spending. It starts with tracking your expenses.
2. Tweak, perfect, and change your cash envelopes if they just aren't working. If you have a cash envelope that isn't providing value to your budget, get rid of it. If you are constantly running money out cash in one envelope, increase the limit and decrease another. Need to make another category for a problem area of spending, go for it if it truly helps you control and overspending. Don't be afraid to make it your own.
3. Your envelopes can hold more than just cash. SAVE THOSE RECEIPTS. I get lazy every now and again, and I go days without updating my trackers. Keep those receipts so you can come back to it later when you have time.
4. Only carry the ones you need. Don't walk around with 6 cash envelopes in your purse. Plan your daily spending in the morning, and only bring the envelopes that you will use.
5. Cash envelopes aren't just about budgeting, they're also about spending. Use that to your advantage and find ways to save your cash. Create challenges for yourself to find dollars you didn't know you had.
You can find a step-by-step article on how to start using the cash envelope method by clicking the link in my bio.
You can be successful with this system. Don't give up before you give yourself time to see it❤❤
If your New Year’s Resolution is to save money and to stop paying late fees on your bills a decluttered and organised home can help. Here’s how 👇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

📆This adds up to $286 million in late fees. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📆The average late fee is $24. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
📆More than 50% of people that pay bills late blame it on being absent minded/disorganised. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
😱Did you know paying bills late can cause problems when applying for loans in the future? Phone and utility companies may report late payments to credit reporting agencies that generate your credit score. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

You must have a plan...if you fail to plan you plan to fail. A budget is simply a financial plan. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

MYTH: Cloth Diaper is unsanitary. You won't be able to clean/wash it well.
FACT: Cloth diapering is NOT a walk in park. Under the cute prints are stinky pee and poo. .
The answer can be long. I can go into all the details. But for IG's sake we will keep it short 😊
If you don't trust your washing machine to wash cloth diapers then I wouldn't trust it to wash underwear or any clothing for that matter.
If you can't stomach washing dirty diapers in your washing machine then you shouldn't be washing your baby's blowout clothes or puked-on clothing, or your underwear in the washer as well.
I know, I know, these are easy for us cloth diaper families to say because we are already used to it.
That's the "key" --- just like anything else, just like any lifestyle decision all it takes is "getting used to".
Again, cloth diapering is NOT a walk in park. Under the cute prints are stinky pee and poo. That's the truth. I will NOT sugar coat that.
But it is NOT complicated nor disgusting as you picture it to be 😉❤
If you have any cloth diaper question or concerns, let us know. We are here to help!
If you are local we offer FREE one-on-one cloth diaper session. No strings attached. You DO NOT have to make a purchase.
It just makes my heart happy to welcome another family into the world of REUSABLEs.
Use cloth diapers part time or full time, that's okay. That's still one less trash. That's still some money saved ❤❤❤
Those Yeezy shoes and designer belt look cool until you see your bank account balance. "Rich" people wear designer clothes and drive fancy cars. Except they live paycheck to paycheck. Wealthy people look like your everyday person except they live within their means.⠀

HOW MUCH YOU MAKE DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR WEALTH.
I started and announced my debt free journey at the end of June this year.
It was one of the hardest, scariest, and most embarrassing moments during my financial journey.
I had to admit to myself that my debt situation was not going to get better if I could not hold myself accountable.
So...I announced it to the world in an attempt to find accountability and motivation.
My debt journey is different from others. I'm fortunate enough to have a business that helps me reach my financial goals.
I have been told that I'm not relatable. That paying off debt and saving money is easy for me.
The truth is. I could talk about saving money and paying off debt using examples and made up numbers. I could even talk about my debt payoff journey with out revealing my real numbers.
But then....it wouldn't be my true story.
What you see is huge pay off amounts. But what you don't see is the story before I revealed my truth.
In January, I started out with a total debt balance of $74,832. When I revealed my debt to the world, it was $77,290. Yes, my debt was growing every single month. I was making my minimum payments on time, but I was still using my credit cards, and I was using them on ridiculous, not needed things.
During that time, my business was making $5,000-$7,000 every month, but I was not using my income for things that could truly make a difference in me and son's life.
It comes down to choices. And though it may not seem like I have to make sacrifices to make progress, I do every day.
It's waking up at 4am every morning to work two full time jobs. It's time away from my son so I can make our futures and his life better. It's having discipline when you have a high income so you stay humble enough to recognize your wants vs needs.
Every color on this chart represents how much I paid off every month since my announcement of my debt payoff journey at the end of June. Each color represents a different month, with the bottom color starting in July.
I have paid off $27,641 since that time, and I have $49,649 left to go.
It will never matter how much income you make. It's what you decide to do with it. #debtfree
I cant relate to these kids today getting an elaborate party for their 9th birthday. My mama could throw a whole birthday party with 77.5 kids for only $22! And dont even get me started on PROM!
Now that i'm a dad I think about these random things from time to time lol What modern trends with kids do you see that make your jaw hit the floor?

This is partly why 78% of Americans and Canadians are living paycheck to paycheck. What do you think can change this? What do you think is the main reason?
